im really trying to shake out a response from X to get the API back and working but unfortunately i cannot control when they will reply.

we do have another option: migrate the bot, make a new twitter account and start from "scratch" (in terms of follower count).
in this way i can just bridge over the code and ship it into the new account without being suspended. this would lead me to tighten up the responses though.
