CoinWorld News reports that Hoskinson stated at the 2026 Consensus Conference that by 2035, the main participants in internet activity will be AI agents rather than humans. He pointed out that this change has already forced major companies like Google, Facebook, and Amazon to take countermeasures. Hoskinson said that AI agents will not click on ads or have brand preferences, which threatens the advertising-driven business model. He also mentioned that AI will play an increasingly important role in due diligence, transaction execution, and interactions with decentralized finance. Hoskinson's prediction echoes the view of Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong, who said, "There will soon be more AI agents trading." He warned users not to rely on intermediaries but to control their assets directly, emphasizing "You must own your data, identity, and funds."
