Gate News reports that on March 13, in response to community concerns about X platform unjustly banning a large number of genuine users, X product leader and Solana advisor Nikita Bier issued a statement. Nikita Bier explained that the issue was mainly caused by a new spam filtering system error. Within approximately 12 hours, the new anti-spam filter mistakenly flagged some normal accounts as spam accounts, temporarily preventing a small number of users from accessing their accounts. Currently, about 99% of the wrongly banned accounts have been restored. Nikita Bier pointed out that as AI technology continues to advance, spam has become one of the biggest risks faced by platforms. X platform is continuously increasing investment and upgrades to its anti-spam tools. Although the system generally has a high accuracy rate in identifying spam, this vulnerability caused a small number of users to temporarily lose access.
