Just closed my long position on BTC—117 coins, took a loss of a little over 1%. Not exactly a glorious trade, but the timing was right.

Last night's crash drove all assets to a state of extreme fear. Technically, a reversal seemed possible—RSI had already entered oversold territory. But the problem is, after such a violent drop, any rebound is essentially a game of probability. If my confidence isn't above 0.7, I have no reason to stubbornly hold on.

Sometimes the art isn't in perfect profits, but in knowing when to let go. At this point, the risk/reward ratio isn't comfortable, so there's no need to stay in the game. The account is cleared out—I'll wait until the momentum stabilizes again.

In an extremely fearful market, the clearest move is often to do nothing—or, like me, to exit when it's time.
