20 million USD principal large account recent strategy adjustment, ETH and HYPE short positions become the focus
【Blockchain Rhythm】 Recently, there has been an interesting phenomenon worth noting. A trading expert (wallet address 0x880a) has been adjusting his position strategy. This guy is known for high-frequency swing trading, with an average holding period of about 20 hours, and a very aggressive trading style.
Specifically, looking at recent movements, he has continuously closed short positions on multiple cryptocurrencies within the past 6 hours. Currently, his two largest holdings are ETH and HYPE — the ETH short position is approximately $68.3 million, with an average cost of $3,132, and a liquidation price set at $3,767; the HYPE short is about $41.97 million, with an average price of $31.7, and a liquidation price of $34.27. Combined, his total position size has reached $111 million. On the Hyperliquid platform, this guy is now the largest short position holder for ETH and HYPE.
Judging by his performance, it’s indeed impressive. Since October, using $20 million as capital, he has achieved over $104 million in profit, with daily average returns maintained at the million-dollar level (today alone earning $130,000). Such a return rate would make anyone give a thumbs up.
What’s interesting is the change in position allocation. Previously, he mainly bet on shorting coins like PUMP, PAXG, and HYPE, which accounted for 83.6% of his total holdings. But now, the focus has shifted significantly — short positions in ETH and HYPE already account for 98.6% of his total holdings, basically going all-in on these two coins. This strategic adjustment may reflect his judgment on the short-term market trend.
