A company managing $4 billion shared the latest forecasts on Bitcoin, Solana, and Ethereum!

Rob Hadick, general partner at crypto-focused investment firm Dragonfly, shared important insights on the current state of cryptocurrencies, forecasts for 2026, and emerging new technologies during CNBC’s “Squawk Box” program.
Hadick emphasized the importance of focusing on long-term trends rather than short-term price movements.

In response to criticisms of Bitcoin’s performance this year, Hadick advised taking a “broad perspective.” He pointed out that Bitcoin has increased by 26% compared to the day before the 2024 elections and has doubled in value over the past two years, showing a 100% increase. Hadick noted that this rise rivals and even surpasses traditional indices like Nasdaq.

Hadick expects 2026 to be a “strong and constructive” year for the crypto ecosystem. This optimism is driven by better monetary policies and increasing global adoption of asset tokenization. Citing McKinsey data, Hadick stated that 3% of cross-border payments are already made with stablecoins and predicted this figure could increase tenfold in the near future.

One of the most notable parts of the interview was dedicated to prediction markets. Hadick mentioned that platforms like PolyMarket have grown from a monthly volume of $50 million at the start of 2024 to approximately $4 billion now. He argued that these markets will not be limited to politics or sports but will find diverse applications, such as insurance companies hedging weather risks. Addressing the competition between Ethereum and Solana, Hadick believes both ecosystems will survive and serve different use cases. He explained that Ethereum is primarily a hub for “locked economic value” )TVL( and DeFi, while Solana is optimized for low-cost, high-volume transactions.

Hadick also mentioned that technological innovation continues unabated, referencing Monad, a new blockchain project dubbed the “Solana killer,” which Dragonfly has invested in.
