Many people have complained about the same curse: every time they buy in, the market drops; every time they sell, it rises, as if the market is deliberately against them. But in reality, this isn't a matter of luck, nor is it some mysterious force controlling the market—it's a market logic that can be observed and understood.

Let's start with the most painful point—the highly overlapping trading patterns of retail investors. When the price rises, everyone enthusiastically chases the rally; when the price falls, they panic and cut losses en masse. This emotion-driven decision-making causes retail investors to cluster their entries and exits around similar price levels, resulting in actions that are often counter to the market trend.

A deeper reason lies in the psychological game of the main players' funds. They are well aware of retail investors' points of panic and greed, and they carefully design oscillating market conditions to shake out weak hands—triggering your urge to sell during dips and enticing you to buy during rallies. It may seem like the market is targeting you, but in fact, your operational nodes just happen to become their "prey list."

Another easily overlooked factor is the rise of quantitative trading. These algorithmic systems operate based on data models and historical patterns, unaffected by human emotions, with execution capabilities far beyond retail traders. Retail investors relying on intuition tend to fall out of sync with market trends naturally.

However, it's important to clarify that while quantitative trading is more rational, it is not a silver bullet. Historical data is ultimately just history, and market changes often defy expectations. No strategy can predict market movements with 100% certainty.

At the end of the day, what you're facing isn't fate's trickery, but two core issues: first, failing to recognize the operational routines of the main players; second, having an unstable mindset and insufficient discipline. To break free from this vicious cycle, the key is to establish your own trading logic, stick to discipline, and not let emotions hijack your wallet.

Really, I keep getting it wrong every time, feeling like the big players are laughing at me.

Really? It's always the same routine. I'm almost driven to madness by the constant manipulation. Retail investors are just being harvested like leeks by the big players. To put it plainly, you still need your own plan. The quant folks are indeed disgusting, but let's not say they're invincible. Historical data doesn't equal the future. The key is to train your mindset—don't chase highs or sell lows like that. Honestly, there are still too few retail investors who understand these logics. I've truly been educated in the psychological warfare of the main players. It hurts.

That's right, but it's just that retail investors are too easily driven by emotions, and we're not playing the same game as the main players. --- I've seen many of the main players' shakeout tactics; every time they push the price up just above my stop-loss. --- Quantitative strategies are not divine; they can also fail, it's just that they are more mechanical than us. --- The core is discipline. Without execution, any strategy is useless. --- That's why I now stick to my plan and don't make reckless moves, even if it hurts. --- Every time I chase the high and get caught, I need to learn to be smarter this time. --- The biggest enemy of retail investors is probably their own greedy heart.

It's the same story again... Basically, we're just being harvested like leeks by the big players.
