Remembering Mirza Ghalib on his Birthday.

His words continue to guide hearts and minds across generations.
His poetry teaches us to question life, embrace wisdom, and find meaning even in uncertainty.

Bas ki dushvaar hai har kaam ka aasaan hona
Aadmi ko bhi muyassar nahin insaan hona

These lines remind us that becoming truly human kind, thoughtful, and wise is life’s greatest achievement.

He wrote
Hasti ke mat fareb mein aa jaaiyo Asad,
Aalam tamaam halqa e daam e khayal hai

A warning across centuries reality itself is fragile, perception is deceptive, and man a prisoner of his own thought.

And then, with unmatched honesty

Na tha kuchh to khuda tha, kuchh na hota to khuda hota
Duboya mujh ko hone ne, na hota main to kya hota

Here, Ghalib reduces existence to its most unsettling question is being a blessing, or a burden?

On the birth anniversary of Mirza Ghalib Ji, we honour a mind that refused comfort, a voice that rejected simplicity, and a legacy that still unsettles anyone brave enough to think.

Ghalib does not age.
He confronts.
