With a principal of 100,000, many people in the crypto world dream of making a big splash—aiming to hit a million in one go. But I’ve seen too many stories that end in losses.
Instead of dreaming of a tenfold explosion of wealth overnight, it’s better to take steady, incremental steps—doubling your investment three times. From 100,000 to 200,000, then to 400,000, and finally reaching 800,000. The benefits of this approach are obvious—risk is diversified, and the power of compound interest is always working.
The first trap is the allure of high volatility. Beginners are easily attracted to altcoins and high leverage, thinking that bigger swings mean more opportunities. In reality, quite the opposite—high volatility often acts as the fastest meat grinder to eliminate traders. You think you’ve found a shortcut, but in fact, it’s the quickest route to zero.
Experienced traders play it very differently. They only act when the certainty is high—for example, during sideways consolidation after a sharp decline, or once a trend is confirmed—using small positions to enter. Keep positions tight, set small stop-losses, add to positions gradually when the direction is correct, and cut losses immediately if wrong. Using multiple stable 50% gains to replace a single uncertain tenfold surge may sound less exciting, but the survival rate is much higher.
Asset selection should also be layered. Mainstream assets like Bitcoin are suitable for long-term holding, relying on cycles; high-risk new directions should only be tested with small amounts, provided you truly understand the underlying logic. The biggest taboo is risking all your capital to test luck.
Stay away from common traps—signal providers, insider information, small platforms—these are basically tools to fleece retail investors. Don’t be fooled; they profit from your principal, not from volatility.
Ultimately, there are no myths in the crypto world—only survivors. Turning 100,000 into 1,000,000 isn’t about bravery or luck; it’s about patience, discipline, and the ability to keep going. It’s okay to go slow, but never, ever get out of the game.
