THORChain is a decentralized protocol that allows exchanging cryptocurrencies across different blockchains directly, without wrapped tokens or centralized intermediaries.

But the main news: on January 10, $282M in stolen funds flowed through THORChain – the largest individual theft of 2026! The attacker compromised the victim's hardware wallet through social engineering, then used THORChain to convert the loot into Monero. XMR price surged 70% as a result.
