AI AGENT ACCIDENTALLY SENT $250K TO RANDOM STRANGER
An AI bot run by an OpenAI employee just proved that even artificial intelligence can have a "fat finger" moment. Yesterday, Lobstar Wilde an autonomous trading bot on X saw a user begging for 4 $SOL ($310) to treat his uncle's "tetanus infection from a lobster." The bot meant to send 52,439 tokens. Instead, it misread an API response and dumped 52.4 MILLION tokens (5% of total supply). The recipient sold everything in 15 minutes resulting in the coin plummeting to $2M marketcap. The bot realized the mistake, responded with sarcasm and the coin rebounded to $12.5M as the story went viral. This is the current state of the trenches. Imagine telling your OpenClaw Bot to trade for you, and it just sends your entire portfolio to a random wallet because someone told a sad story.
