On February 13th Beijing time, OpenAI’s strong competitor Anthropic announced the completion of Series G funding, raising a total of $30 billion, with a post-money valuation of $380 billion (approximately 2.6 trillion RMB). This is the second-largest financing in the large model industry to date, only behind OpenAI’s historic $40 billion deal last year, and makes Anthropic the second AI unicorn worldwide valued at over $20 trillion — OpenAI’s latest valuation is $500 billion. In September last year, Anthropic announced the completion of $13 billion in Series F funding, with a valuation of $183 billion. After this round of funding, Anthropic’s valuation doubled.
