According to a bulletin released by Madagascar’s Presidential Office on the evening of the 9th, Interim President Andry Rajoelina has announced the dissolution of the current government. The bulletin states that the current government has ceased to perform its duties, and the new Prime Minister will be appointed as soon as possible in accordance with constitutional provisions. Before appointing the new Prime Minister and the new cabinet members, secretaries-general of various ministries will be responsible for handling daily affairs. As of press time, the specific date for appointing the new Prime Minister has not been announced. On October 17 last year, Rajoelina was sworn in as the country’s transitional president, and three days later, he appointed Hery Rajoelina as Prime Minister.
