(MENAFN- Khaama Press) ** The military of Israel said it had carried out strikes on several Iranian fuel storage depots in Tehran, claiming the facilities were used to support military operations.**

In a statement released Sunday, the Israel Defense Forces said Iranian forces had repeatedly used the fuel depots to supply military storage systems and logistical infrastructure linked to ongoing operations.

Iran’s National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company confirmed that a number of oil storage facilities in Tehran and Alborz Province had been targeted during the strikes.

At the same time, Iranian media reported that Iran launched missile attacks overnight against cities in Israel, including strikes that reportedly targeted the oil refinery in Haifa.

Iranian outlets also reported attacks against locations described as bases and hotels housing U.S. intelligence personnel in Sulaymaniyah in Iraq, as well as sites in Kuwait and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

The conflict involving Iran, the United States and Israel has now entered its ninth day, with both sides intensifying strikes and raising concerns about a wider regional confrontation.

Earlier, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Tehran would stop attacks against neighbouring countries, signalling a possible effort to reduce tensions in the region.

However, U.S. President Donald Trump said Iran was facing major setbacks in the conflict, while Iranian officials warned that misinterpretation of Tehran’s stance could further escalate the crisis.
