General Administration of Customs data released on March 10 shows that in the first two months of 2026, China’s total foreign trade import and export value reached 7.73 trillion yuan, with a year-on-year growth rate returning to double digits at 18.3%. Among them, exports were 4.62 trillion yuan, up 19.2% year-on-year; imports were 3.11 trillion yuan, up 17.1% year-on-year.

  • China’s exports from January to February (in USD) increased by 21.8%, with an estimated 7.2%.
  • China’s imports from January to February (in USD) increased by 19.8%, with an estimated 7%.
  • China’s trade balance from January to February (in USD) was $2,136.2 billion, with an estimated surplus of $1,761 billion.
