South Korea has formed a public-private AI network alliance (AINA) at MWC 2026 to secure leadership in AI-powered 6G networks and achieve 6G commercialization by 2030. The alliance, chaired by KT Corp. and including 34 companies like SK telecom and Samsung Electronics, aims to increase Korea’s share of the global next-generation mobile communications market to 20 percent. This initiative comes amidst a global race to develop AI-driven telecom networks, with other major alliances also being formed by companies from the US, China, and various multinational corporations.
