Donghua Technology signs a 2.026 billion yuan EPC contract for green ammonia project with renewable energy

On March 6th, Donghua Technology (002140.SZ) announced that the company signed an EPC general contract for the first phase of a green ammonia project with an annual capacity of 800,000 tons of wind and solar hydrogen and ammonia integration in Hefei, Anhui Province, with ReNew Green Hydrogen Energy (Inner Mongolia) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “ReNew Energy”). The contract amount is approximately 2.026 billion yuan (estimated), with a construction period (mechanical completion) until June 18, 2028. The company will mainly undertake the design, procurement, construction, operation and maintenance services, and commissioning guidance for this EPC project.

The announcement shows that ReNew Energy was established in September 2024 and mainly engages in power generation, transmission, distribution, import and export of goods, import and export of technology, import and export agency, and emerging energy technology research and development. The controlling shareholder of ReNew Energy is Yijing Xing Green Hydrogen Energy Investment (Hainan) Co., Ltd., with ultimate control by ReNew Green Hydrogen Energy Technology Asia Co., Ltd. The project has completed the investment project filing in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

Donghua Technology stated that the total contract amount for the green ammonia project is approximately 2.026 billion yuan (estimated), accounting for 22.86% of the company’s audited operating revenue for 2024, with an average annual contract amount accounting for 10.16% of the company’s audited operating revenue for 2024. The signing and implementation of this contract will further enhance the company’s performance in green energy chemical engineering and increase its brand influence in the integrated wind, solar, hydrogen, and storage field.
