Odaily Planet Daily reports: A source said that the U.S. Navy has not escorted a tanker through the Strait of Hormuz. Previously, U.S. Energy Secretary Rick Perry announced that naval forces had escorted a tanker through this tense waterway, but later deleted the message. “The U.S. Navy successfully escorted a tanker through the Strait of Hormuz, ensuring that oil continues to flow to the global market,” Perry wrote on X, but did not provide further details. A few minutes later, the message was deleted. Last week, Trump first proposed the idea of naval escort, and on Monday, he said he hopes it won’t be necessary. Additionally, Iran also “pushed back” against Perry; a spokesperson for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps stated, “Any actions by the U.S. fleet and its allies will be blocked within our missile and drone range. During wartime, no U.S. ships dare to approach the Oman Sea, Persian Gulf, or the Strait of Hormuz.”
