GoPlus: Currently, the top Google search result for Claude Code is a malicious installer
Deep Tide TechFlow News, March 11 — According to GoPlus, attackers are distributing malware through Google search ads. The ads mimic the official Claude Code installation page with pixel-perfect cloning. Once users download and install the malicious program, they face serious security risks, including theft of passwords, cookies, session tokens, as well as cryptocurrency wallets, credentials, and system information.
