In February, Private Placement Network data showed that the total number of newly registered private equity securities investment funds in the market increased to 1,366, a significant rise compared to the same period last year and January. Stock strategy funds dominate, with 900 registrations, accounting for 65.89%. Registrations for other strategies are noticeably lower.

According to latest data from Private Equity PaoPao Network, in February, there were a total of 722 newly registered private equity funds, comprising 1,366 private securities investment funds (including independently issued products and those serving as investment advisors). This represents a 151.57% increase compared to 543 funds in February 2025, and a significant 100.88% increase from 680 funds in January of this year.

Regarding the strategies of the newly registered products, stock strategies dominate. Statistics show that in February, 900 private equity funds with stock strategies were newly registered, accounting for 65.89%. During the same period, multi-asset strategy private funds ranked second with 200 new registrations, accounting for 14.64%. Futures and derivatives strategy private funds had 154 new registrations, accounting for over 10%. Meanwhile, private funds with mixed, bond, and other strategies each had fewer than 50 new registrations, with proportions below 4%. (Shanghai Securities News)
