On Wednesday (March 11), during the U.S. stock market session, artificial intelligence cloud company Nebius Group rose nearly 14% after NVIDIA announced it would invest $2 billion in the company.

NVIDIA announced on its official website that the two companies are establishing a strategic partnership to jointly develop and deploy the next-generation large-scale cloud for the AI market, serving AI-native developers and enterprise users.

According to the press release, the two sides will collaborate on AI infrastructure deployment, compute cluster management, inference services, and AI factory design and support.

NVIDIA will invest $2 billion in Nebius, and to enable Nebius to deploy over 5 gigawatts of capacity by the end of 2030, NVIDIA will provide priority access to its latest generation of accelerated computing platforms.

Jensen Huang stated, “Artificial intelligence is at another inflection point—the emergence of agentic AI is driving incredible computational demand and accelerating infrastructure development.”

“Nebius is building an AI cloud designed specifically for the age of agents, fully integrated from chips to software, supported by NVIDIA’s next-generation accelerated computing technology. We will work together to expand cloud scale to meet the growing global demand for intelligence.”

Wednesday’s investment announcement also builds on Nebius’s previous deployments of NVIDIA infrastructure, including multiple gigawatt-scale AI factories in the United States.

Nebius CEO Arkady Volozh said, “Nebius was born for AI from the very beginning, not as a transformation from general cloud services, but designed specifically to meet developers’ practical needs.”

“Now, with NVIDIA’s support, we are extending this capability across the entire tech stack—from gigawatt-scale AI factories to inference and software layers—creating one of the world’s earliest and largest AI cloud platforms.”
