Abstract generation in progress

On March 4th, Lu Ming, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, stated in an interview with China Youth Daily and China Youth Online that companies should set limits on employees’ overtime hours to protect workers’ physical and mental health.

Additionally, Member Lu Ming suggested that those born after 2000 should avoid adopting a culture of overtime. He mentioned that there are often discussions online about “00s reforming workplace culture,” which he believes is a positive development. Progress in workplace culture requires the efforts of different generations.

Regarding the current phenomenon of “pseudo-rest” among young people, Tang Xudong, a member of the National Committee and Chief Researcher at the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, said that many people appear to be exercising at night, but psychologically they haven’t fully relaxed. Their minds are still thinking about work.

He recommends that while exercising, people should also focus on calming their minds, emptying themselves, and concentrating on the present. Feeling the unity of intention and breath can help eliminate fatigue and relax the entire body and mind.
