BMW (China) Automotive Trading Co., Ltd. recalls some imported vehicles

People’s Financial News, March 11 — Recently, BMW (China) Automotive Trading Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation. Recall number S2026M0027V: Starting from March 16, 2026, it will recall some imported BMW 2 Series, 4 Series, 5 Series, 6 Series, 7 Series, X4, X5, X6, and Z4 series vehicles manufactured between July 31, 2020, and December 22, 2022, totaling 147,830 units. Some vehicles within this recall scope may experience abnormal wear of the starter motor due to manufacturing issues. After multiple startups, the internal components of the starter motor may wear out, causing difficulty in starting the vehicle. In extreme cases, this could lead to a short circuit inside the starter motor, localized overheating, and a fire risk.
