Toyota Motor (China) recently filed a recall plan involving 40 imported TOYOTA SUPRA 2.0T vehicles produced between March 2, 2021, and September 29, 2022. Due to a starter manufacturing issue, these vehicles may experience difficulty starting after multiple attempts and pose a fire risk.

People’s Financial News, March 11 — Recently, Toyota Motor (China) Investment Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation. Recall number S2026M0028V: Effective immediately, a total of 40 imported TOYOTA SUPRA 2.0T vehicles produced between March 2, 2021, and September 29, 2022, are being recalled. Some vehicles within this recall scope may experience abnormal wear inside the starter motor due to manufacturing issues. After multiple startups, this could cause difficulty in starting the vehicle. In extreme cases, it may lead to a short circuit inside the starter motor, localized overheating, and a fire risk.
