Chief Judge Luo Guoliang of the Fourth Criminal Trial Division of the Supreme People’s Court stated that in response to serious violent crime cases that have attracted significant public attention in recent years, the court will impose strict, severe, and swift punishments in accordance with the law. At the same time, the Supreme People’s Court also introduced the governance system collaboratively built with relevant departments, covering “prevention before the event, handling during the event, and deterrence after the event.” Measures include preventing mentally ill individuals from committing serious acts harmful to society, strengthening community correction work, promoting conflict resolution, and enhancing legal education for minors.
