Ameren wins approval for 800-megawatt gas plant at former coal site

Ameren Missouri has received approval from the Missouri Public Service Commission for an 800-megawatt gas plant and battery system at its former Rush Island coal site. The project is part of Ameren’s efforts to transition its energy generation portfolio. This development was reported by the St. Louis Business Journal.
