The ministry noted that private entities should comply fully with conditions stated on employment contracts and labour legislation, including obligations concerning remuneration and employee benefits.
For the part of adhering to safety measures within workers’ accommodation, the Ministry emphasised on designating safe areas within accommodation facilities, while ensuring that evacuation routes and emergency exits are always unobstructed.
It added that employers must provide first-aid kits and ensure the presence of personnel trained in first-aid procedures.
Workers are encouraged to be fully aware of emergency exits and designated assembly points and a prominent display of emergency contact numbers in easily accessible locations throughout the accommodation.
