Spielberg Opposes AI Replacing Creative Talent, Clarifies He Has Not Used Artificial Intelligence in Any Films
Odaily Planet Daily reports that Hollywood director Steven Spielberg stated that while AI can play a role in various fields, “I do not support replacing creative individuals.” He mentioned that although he directed the film “A.I. Artificial Intelligence,” he has not used artificial intelligence technology in any of his movies, and his screenwriting team is “fully staffed” with no positions replaced by AI. Currently, film and television companies including Netflix are experimenting with generative AI tools for visual effects or material editing, while facing copyright disputes.
