March 16 - Focused on recognition and clustering as the main themes
Good evening everyone!! [Taogu Ba]
The thinking after Friday’s market close was: beware of a worsening pullback next Monday.
There was no panic after the morning bidding (no increase in limit-downs).
Instead, funds seemed eager to recover (estimated volume didn’t increase much, and estimates during the session kept decreasing).
So, it was a bit of a mixed bag.
Either accelerate the decline, increasing the market’s high-level loss effect,
or shift funds into low-priced themes (thus separating new small cycles from old cycles).
Unfortunately, although there was some fund interest at low levels (e.g., China National Petroleum’s 3.154 billion yuan at the top of the morning),
news catalyst: expectations that the Strait of Hormuz oil transit settlement will be settled in RMB.
With expectations in place and funds guided accordingly, a few stocks opened high in the morning but were overtaken by chemical and marine stocks during the session.
This expectation still exists, and there were no signs that the market today lacked sector linkage or stocks hitting the daily limit.
Some funds still recognize this expectation.
Tomorrow’s focus will be on whether China National Petroleum can continue to turn over and strengthen its momentum,
which might also boost cross-border payment concept stocks.
If China National Petroleum itself cannot perform, then this theme is not worth watching for now.
Just observe whether it diverges sharply and then drops sharply, or diverges and then trends.
Today’s intraday trading remains very challenging.
In the morning, power stocks showed some recovery (Yunnan Energy Holdings rebounded after bidding).
But Yunnan Energy Holdings, the leader, did not actively rally after opening.
This led to a correction in previously leading stocks (e.g., China Power Construction, which had good news on Friday).
I went for China Power Construction on Friday; after opening, Yunnan Energy didn’t actively recover, so I had to cut losses during the session.
Near the close, some funds were picking up power sector stocks (e.g., China Power Investment).
In the morning, the active sector was the chemical sector, with Shun Na Co., Ltd.
Tomorrow morning, power stocks will depend on the feedback from these two stocks.
Shun Na is expected to accelerate in the morning; if not, then observe whether divergence occurs and then a rally.
Another stock that broke the limit today, China Power Energy, already took the lead in the late session.
Tomorrow, normal feedback should be acceleration; otherwise, it may fall short of expectations and be exploited by late traders.
These two stocks’ bidding and opening feedback will determine the strength of power sector recovery.
We will see the sector’s recovery strength during the session.
If the recovery is weak, the power sector may be abandoned.
Only some individual stocks above the 5-day moving average, like trend stocks, can be temporarily observed independently.
The chemical sector’s feedback today suggests a possible separation from power stocks after divergence.
But it didn’t sustain strength; the stocks that were weak all day, like Jin Niu Co., Ltd., also didn’t close strong.
This is similar to power stocks; observe the subsequent trend of these stocks.
After all, there are no new themes at the moment.
Without new themes, the market’s divergence still reverts to old patterns.
It mainly depends on external news catalysts.
With news catalysts, rotation frequency is high; without news, rotation slows until new news appears.
In the afternoon, a wave of AI hardware (mainly storage chips) was driven.
NVIDIA GTC conference will be held from March 16-19 in California, USA.
Pre-launch, whether it sustains depends on feedback from some news at the conference.
For now, it looks like a random rotation rally.
Pioneer stocks: Langke Technology, capacity: Zhaoyi Innovation.
Tomorrow morning, watch the performance of overseas tech stocks.
And after bidding and opening, observe these two stocks’ feedback; the overall market movement is a plus or minus factor.
Finally, the ocean economy, a concept from last year’s deep-sea economy.
It’s unclear whether it will be sustainable; currently at a low level.
Observe Oriental Ocean for overnight positions and feedback after opening.
If Oriental Ocean cannot perform well, it’s likely a one-day play.
Conclusion: Low-level themes are not obvious; high-level themes (power) will be tested for recovery strength tomorrow.
If no focused theme emerges, the upcoming week’s profit-making effect will be poor, with rapid rotation, making it very difficult to trade. Prepare mentally in advance.
Just watch for trend-based stocks with active participation.

Tomorrow’s expectations:
In the afternoon, market funds will recover early, but themes will not be focused on profit effects.
So, tomorrow will still be a rotation (without sustainability).
Unless trading volume exceeds 300 billion yuan and can be maintained afterward.
Low-level themes are not obvious; the trend will likely continue to fluctuate around high-level themes.
Trend fluctuations require patience.
We will review data feedback at the close tomorrow.
