Abstract generation in progress

Our country’s first independently designed and built integrated large-scale fracturing engineering vessel—the “Ocean Petroleum 696”—was officially delivered today (March 10) in Zhoushan, Zhejiang. This achievement fills a gap in China’s offshore oil and gas fracturing technology and engineering equipment, and is of great significance for enhancing our offshore oil and gas development capabilities and ensuring national energy security. Large fracturing vessels are key engineering equipment for efficiently developing low-permeability and low-flow-rate subsea oil and gas fields. The “Ocean Petroleum 696” is 99.8 meters long, with a deck area equivalent to 3.5 standard basketball courts, making it the largest of its kind globally. The vessel is equipped with a complete set of fracturing equipment, capable of performing high-discharge, high-power offshore large-scale fracturing operations, with overall performance leading among similar vessels worldwide.
