Abstract generation in progress

NVIDIA, an American artificial intelligence (AI) chip manufacturer, announced NVIDIA DLSS 5, introducing a new real-time neural rendering model that can inject photorealistic lighting and material properties into each pixel.

This marks a significant breakthrough in computer graphics since the debut of real-time ray tracing technology in 2018.

CEO Jensen Huang stated that, 25 years after inventing programmable shaders, NVIDIA is once again reshaping computer graphics. DLSS 5 combines manual rendering with generative AI, greatly enhancing visual realism while maintaining artists’ control for creative expression.

DLSS 5 can run in real time, supporting up to 4K resolution, enabling interactive gaming experiences. It offers artistic control options, can be integrated via NVIDIA Streamline, and is widely supported by major game publishers including Bethesda, CAPCOM, Ubisoft, Tencent, NetEase, NCSOFT, S-GAME, and Warner Bros.

DLSS 5 will be released this fall.
