An Ohio woman, Tracy A. James, admitted to making over 1,700 fraudulent returns at Home Depot locations across multiple states, using counterfeit driver’s licenses and aliases to obtain more than $266,000 in store credit. She then used this credit to purchase merchandise for resale online. James pleaded guilty to telecommunications fraud and was sentenced to five years of community control supervision, jail time, community service, and ordered to pay full restitution to Home Depot.
