North Carolina nonprofits can seek $25,000 to prepare for storms

Duke Energy and its Foundation are providing $500,000 in grants to strengthen storm preparedness across North Carolina, with individual grants of up to $25,000 available to eligible nonprofit and government organizations. This funding aims to support training, emergency planning, local response collaboration, and public education initiatives. Since 2016, the Foundation has invested $11.4 million in the state’s preparedness and recovery efforts, demonstrating an ongoing commitment to community safety and resilience in the face of increasingly severe weather.
