People’s Financial News, March 20 — On March 20, 2026, the Ministry of Justice, the People’s Bank of China, the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission, the China Securities Regulatory Commission, and the State Administration of Foreign Exchange published the “Draft of the People’s Republic of China Financial Law” (hereinafter referred to as the Draft) on their official websites, seeking public comments. The Draft consists of 11 chapters and 95 articles, comprehensively summarizing and incorporating the achievements and experiences of China’s financial legal development since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party. It is based on the new tasks and requirements of the new era and new journey, transforming the Party Central Committee’s decisions and deployments on financial work, theoretical innovations, and reform results and effective practices in financial management into legal norms for the entire industry and society to follow, providing a solid legal guarantee for accelerating the building of a strong financial nation.
