Beijing News Shell Finance Report: On March 21, the National Energy Administration released data on electric vehicle charging infrastructure nationwide as of February 2026. According to the National Charging Infrastructure Monitoring Service Platform, by the end of February 2026, the total number of electric vehicle charging points (ports) in China reached 21.01 million, a year-on-year increase of 47.8%. Among them, public charging points (ports) numbered 4.834 million, up 28.8% year-on-year, with a total rated power of 229 million kilowatts and an average power of approximately 47.41 kilowatts; private charging points (ports) totaled 16.176 million, a 54.6% increase year-on-year, with a reported electrical capacity of 141 million kVA.
