Since the second half of last year, memory storage chip prices within the supply chain have been rising. Many media outlets and manufacturers have stated that this will affect the cost of products in industries such as smartphones and computers, thereby impacting product prices. At the beginning of the year, media reports indicated that leading smartphone brands like vivo, Xiaomi, iQOO, and Honor planned to initiate a new round of price adjustments in March. Now, following OPPO’s price change, vivo has also announced an upcoming price adjustment.

As shown in the image above, vivo’s official website released a statement titled “Regarding the Adjustment of Suggested Retail Prices for Some vivo and iQOO Products,” which states, “Thank you for your continued choice and trust in vivo and iQOO. Due to the ongoing significant increase in global semiconductor and storage costs, after careful evaluation, we will adjust the suggested retail prices of some products starting from 10:00 on March 18, 2026. The specific models and prices are subject to the product details displayed on official channels.”

Additionally, last week, OPPO’s online store also issued an announcement stating, “Starting from 00:00 on March 16, 2026, OPPO will adjust the prices of some already released products. Currently, the affected products include the OPPO A series, K series, and OnePlus, excluding the OPPO Find series, Reno series, and OPPO Pad series.” Today, the new prices have taken effect. For example, the OnePlus 15 has been increased by 500 yuan across all versions.

Furthermore, today Xiaomi’s Lu Weibing interacted with netizens in the comments, responding to whether the K90 will see a price increase, saying, “We understand the price hikes of our competitors; everyone is facing difficulties, and we are feeling the pain too.”

Currently, Xiaomi has not announced any price adjustments for its smartphones, but in December last year, Xiaomi and Redmi’s several tablet products experienced price changes. For example, the Xiaomi Pad 8 series, launched in September 2025, saw a price increase of 100-200 yuan.

According to previous reports by Jiemian News, many smartphone brands will have price adjustments. We are now observing the situation to see if any other brands will issue announcements and to monitor how much the prices of new models will change in the future.
