On March 17, Hurun Research Institute released the “2026 Hurun Global Self-Made Female Entrepreneurs List,” listing the world’s self-made female billionaires as of January 15, 2026.

Hurun, Chairman and Chief Research Officer of the Hurun Group, stated that this list includes 150 self-made women entrepreneurs from 20 countries, each with a net worth exceeding one billion USD. China leads the global ranking with 78 women on the list, accounting for over half. Shenzhen, as China’s core city for innovation and industry, has become a benchmark for female wealth creation in China, with the number of women on the list far surpassing Shanghai (10) and Beijing (9). San Francisco ranks fifth with six women, the only non-Chinese city in the top five.

Luxshare Precision’s Wang Laichun ranks fourth globally with a net worth of 91 billion RMB.

In an interview, Hurun pointed out that the industries of Shenzhen’s women on the list—consumer electronics and precision manufacturing—align closely with Shenzhen’s industrial strengths. Wang Laichun of Luxshare Precision has a net worth of 91 billion RMB, ranking fourth worldwide and the highest among Shenzhen entrepreneurs. Feng Qin of Liying Zhizao, with a net worth of 70 billion RMB, ranks fifth globally. Both rely on core components of consumer electronics and AI hardware, becoming leading female figures in Shenzhen manufacturing. Additionally, Shenzhen’s women entrepreneurs are active in fields such as fragrances and flavors, printed circuit boards, semiconductors, and specialized computers. Entrepreneurs like Zhu Linyao of Huabao International and Huang Xiaofen of Jingwang Electronics have made the list through deep industry engagement, demonstrating Shenzhen women’s entrepreneurial vitality and broad industry coverage.

The list also shows that the total wealth of self-made female billionaires worldwide reaches 3.3 trillion RMB, a 52% increase over three years. AI, semiconductors, and healthcare have become new wealth-creation sectors. With a solid industrial foundation and a comprehensive innovation ecosystem, Shenzhen continues to provide fertile ground for women entrepreneurs. The 13 women on the list further confirm Shenzhen’s leading position and unique advantages in global female entrepreneurship and wealth creation.
