$RIVER Yesterday I met an old friend.

He said he finally figured something out recently.
I asked him what he figured out.
He said that before, he stared at the charts every day from morning until midnight, his eyes were almost ruined, but his account kept losing money.
Later he fell in love and didn't have time to watch the charts, opening the app less than five times in a month.
As a result, he actually started making money.
I laughed when I heard this, but this matter is not funny at all.
Staring at charts is the habit most likely to make you lose money.
When the market moves, people panic.
If it goes up a bit, you want to chase.
If it drops a bit, you want to cut losses.
If it's sideways, you can't help but want to open a position.
Your original plan disappears as you keep staring.
Many people think they lose because of poor technique, but actually they lose because of emotions.
You can think back:
How many positions did you open because you couldn't resist?
Chasing highs and getting trapped, buying the dip at the midway point, then it rallies right after you sell.
Most of these are not strategy problems, but impulsive decisions brought by staring at charts.
Later I slowly discovered a problem:
You're not watching the market, you're watching your own emotions.
What you should really watch is not the K-line, it's yourself.
When do you tend to act impulsively,
When do you tend to panic,
When do you know you shouldn't open a position, yet still click confirm.
Now I have a habit:
Review every week, pick out those emotional positions and look at them.
You will find that losing money has nothing to do with poor technique, but inability to control your hands.
There's also a very simple method:
👉 Before opening a position, stand up and walk around first.
If you still want to do it after walking, then enter.
This walk can help you avoid half of the trash trades.
Remember this:
The market is always there, and opportunities always exist.
But your capital won't give you unlimited opportunities.
People who stare at charts don't make money.
Only those who can control themselves can survive.
