Gate News, March 11 — Tencent Cloud issued a statement in response to security concerns related to OpenClaw and Tencent “Lobster.” Regarding the question of whether OpenClaw will excessively charge users, Tencent Cloud stated that a screenshot circulating on social media shows a user incurring high charges after installing OpenClaw during a Tencent Cloud public installation event, totaling over 200 RMB. After investigation and verification, Tencent Cloud confirmed that this amount was from the user’s previous model invocation charges. Tencent Cloud emphasized that installing OpenClaw is free, but if large models are invoked during use, token fees will be incurred. Currently, most agent tools operate under similar conditions.
