X's Grok has started automatic translation and recommends foreign language posts.

According to monitoring by 1M AI News, Musk stated on X that Grok’s automatic translation and recommendation feature for posts in other languages “has started to take effect.” Previously, users needed to manually click the translate button to read foreign language content, but now Grok actively identifies posts in other languages, translates them, and directly pushes them to users’ feeds. There have already been reports from English users that a large number of translated Japanese posts have begun to appear on their timelines.

On March 26, X product head Nikita Bier previewed that “all of Grok’s algorithmic capabilities will be launched next week,” calling it “the most important change we have made on X.” The cross-language automatic translation and recommendation is part of this round of algorithm upgrades.
