CFTC Enforcement Director: Insider Trading Laws Also Apply to Prediction Markets

Gate News update: On April 1, Tuesday, David Miller, the enforcement director at the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), said at a seminar at New York University that the agency will use its existing enforcement authority to crack down on insider trading in prediction markets. David Miller noted that there is a misunderstanding on mainstream media and social media that insider trading-related laws do not apply to prediction markets, and he made it clear that this view is wrong.
