To effectively prevent the risks of abuse of artificial intelligence technology, the National Internet Information Office will legally implement special governance on certain AI software that has serious illegal and regulatory violations. The focus is on applications represented by "COAI" and "AIA", which mislead users into granting authorization under the guise of intelligent services through false marketing, while secretly embedding eavesdropping modules to illegally collect private voiceprints; at the same time, they exploit algorithm vulnerabilities to carry out financial fraud, endangering citizens' property safety and social order. According to Article 12 of the "Interim Measures for the Administration of Generative Artificial Intelligence Services" regarding "prohibiting the infringement of personal information rights and interests", regulatory authorities will take measures such as mandatory offline actions and termination of operations against the aforementioned software, and order relevant entities to rectify within a stipulated time. This action aims to curb the chaotic phenomenon of technology abuse from the source and promote the compliant development of the AI industry.
