On November 28, despite increased industry competition and rising costs, individual miners have not disappeared. On the contrary, according to CEX analysts, they are re-entering the market with the support of continuously improving mining pool technologies. Analysts stated, “Tools like CKPool—known for its low latency and friendly platform for solo mining—have made this mining method easier to adopt. Amateur mining is experiencing a small revival.” Factors driving this trend include the widespread adoption of efficient and low-cost ASIC mining rigs, implementation of off-peak electricity usage strategies, heat recovery technologies, and the emergence of firmware like BraiinsOS. BraiinsOS allows miners to reduce equipment frequency for optimal efficiency. The company has also observed that individual miners, especially those using efficient and low-noise mining equipment at home, are rapidly spreading the phenomenon of 'striking it rich' on social media. Last week, an individual miner successfully mined a Bitcoin block within less than a month of deploying their mining rig. CEX stated that if large miners significantly exit the market, medium-sized industrial miners will become the new major players, while individual and amateur miners will still lag far behind them in terms of capacity. CEX concluded, “This is an interesting pattern, but it is still far from competing with larger, more industrialized operators.”
