[BlockBeats] There have been some major developments in the crypto space recently. An institution called Entrée Capital just announced the launch of a new $300 million fund specifically targeting early-stage Web3 infrastructure projects. That’s a sizable fund and shows that institutional capital is increasingly interested in blockchain systems that can actually be implemented and integrated with existing technology frameworks.
So, what will this fund mainly invest in? It covers everything from pre-seed to Series A rounds, with a focus on supporting teams laying the foundation for Web3. The areas they’re bullish on include: first, AI agents that can manage money on their own within a regulatory framework—these are pretty hot right now; second, decentralized physical infrastructure networks; and third, protocols that use token mechanisms to coordinate and operate real-world infrastructure. In short, they want to invest in projects that can turn Web3 from a concept into a practical tool.
Entrée Capital has spent many years navigating the fintech and crypto sectors, having invested early in star projects like Stripe, Rapyd, and Mesh, and backed Gen Labs and Breez in the Web3 space. They believe this background positions them right at the intersection of traditional finance and decentralized networks, allowing them to provide unique support to entrepreneurs.
Currently, institutional investors are particularly focused on the AI agent and DePIN tracks. Why? Because in the crypto-native space, these two represent the hottest technologies of the moment—artificial intelligence and cloud computing. Whoever can build these foundational infrastructures well could reap the next wave of rewards.

tbh 3 hundred mil sounds good on paper but let's see if they actually know how to spot real infrastructure vs another overhyped AI agent that'll rug in 6 months... the compliance-friendly autonomous agents angle is where it's at tho, nobody else is seriously building that yet

$300 million invested in Web3 infrastructure—finally, someone is taking things seriously. It's so much better than those vaporware projects.

$300 million invested in infrastructure, finally someone is getting serious and actually doing something, instead of just hyping things up all day.

$300 million invested in infrastructure sounds pretty exciting, but I’m just worried it’s the prelude to another round of fleecing retail investors. Infrastructure projects sound stable, but what happens? Once the liquidation price is breached, it all comes crashing down.

$300 million spent on infrastructure sounds nice, but isn’t it just another way to fleece retail investors?

$300 million invested in infrastructure—it looks like this is really going to happen this time. The era of just talking big is over.

Data shows that the last time they did this, the fund liquidation rate reached 98.2%. Interesting.
Ironically, an AI agent under a compliance framework... the term itself is a bit of an oxymoron, isn't it?
Yet another genius who thinks they can turn Web3 into a "practical tool." I bet after six months, they'll still be stuck in the same place.
History has made it clear: every time a project claims it will go mainstream, it ends up becoming just a fundraising tool.
Objectively speaking, even with $300 million thrown in, you still can't escape the bubble cycle.

$300 million invested in infrastructure—are people finally getting serious? It's no longer just empty talk.
