Original Title: Ethereum Layer 2 ‘Base’ Launches Solana Bridge
Original Link:
The Ethereum Layer 2 network ‘Base,’ developed by a prominent exchange, has officially launched a bridge connecting to Solana.
This integration is based on Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP).
Base stated on its official blog, “The Solana integration is the first step toward becoming a multichain hub that connects all networks and assets.”
With the opening of this bridge, the Base network can now directly support Solana assets. Developers can utilize Solana assets in Base-based applications, and users can trade Solana assets on Base. The community can now share liquidity between the two networks.
Base was launched in August 2023 as a secure and cost-efficient Layer 2 platform developed using the Optimism technology stack. It has since grown rapidly to become one of the most active Layer 2 ecosystems.
Jesse Pollak, who led the development of Base, has mentioned the possibility of Solana integration since August 2025, and at the Basecamp event held in September, he also said they are considering expanding Solana support and issuing a native token.
