The victims of the 50 million USDT phishing loss have officially filed a case. A 1 million USD white hat bounty is offered for a limited time of 2 days.
On December 20, according to on-chain researcher Specter, an address that lost 50 million USDT due to a phishing attack yesterday has left a message on the chain to the attacker, indicating that a formal case has been opened. With the assistance of law enforcement agencies, cybersecurity organizations, and multiple blockchain protocols, a large amount of actionable intelligence has been collected regarding the attacker’s activities. The wallet address controlled by the attacker is now under 24/7 surveillance. The attacker is required to return 98% of the stolen assets to a designated address within 48 hours; if so, a $1 million bounty will be awarded as a white-hat reward for discovering and disclosing the vulnerability. However, this proposal is contingent upon the attacker fully and promptly cooperating. Once the funds are returned, the victim will consider the matter closed and will not take further action. If the attacker refuses to cooperate, the case will be escalated through legal and international law enforcement channels to identify the attacker and pursue criminal and civil liabilities.
