Hashing is okay, but the real defense still depends on the consensus mechanism. --- Smart contracts that execute automatically sound great, but who will clean up the mess if bugs appear? --- Public chain openness is good, but with such high miner fees, who can afford to use it? --- Once a timestamp is on the chain, it can't be forged, I believe in that.
