Trust Wallet Vulnerability Scandal: Hacker Steals $6 Million, Funds Are Being Laundered Through Exchanges
【Blockchain Rhythm】Another major event has occurred. The ongoing incident involving the Trust Wallet vulnerability exploitation continues to unfold, and the latest monitoring data from the PaiDun team shows that hackers have successfully stolen over $6 million worth of crypto assets from victims.
Where did the stolen money go? This is the most heartbreaking part. Currently, about $2.8 million worth of assets still remain in the hackers’ wallets, spread across Bitcoin, EVM, and Solana chains. But this is just the tip of the iceberg — what is truly alarming is that over $4 million has already begun to “wash” its tracks.
The flow of funds has been largely traced: approximately $3.3 million was transferred to ChangeNOW, $340,000 went to FixedFloat, and $447,000 flowed into Kucoin. Once the funds enter these trading platforms, tracking becomes significantly more difficult. This also serves as a reminder to everyone that wallet security is no trivial matter — regular updates, cautious authorization, and vigilance against abnormal transactions are essential fundamentals that cannot be overlooked.

It's either money laundering or CEX manipulation, feels like it's always the same routine
---
Are ChangeNOW and FixedFloat still helping with money laundering? Come on
---
How many times have I said that wallet security is important? Yet some people still don't listen
---
Hackers are probably celebrating on a small island with champagne right now
---
Why do we always wait until something happens to remember to update our wallets?
---
280,000 still lying there, can the Shield recover it?
---
With such huge liquidity, that money probably will never come back
---
So should I now create my own wallet? Oh my God
---
The success rate of money laundering is so high, it seems the problem isn't even the hackers
