Web3 applications collectively face difficulties: slow, expensive, poor user experience. These three issues stacking up directly stifle the vitality of applications.
To truly support real-time applications on blockchain, what else needs to be solved?
**Blockchain Games**: Every click requires confirmation, crushing player experience. Who still wants to play a laggy game?
**DeFi High-Frequency Operations**: Fast arbitrage, rebalancing—these actions demand hard real-time risk control responses. A delay of even a second means losing money. If the blockchain cannot support this speed, high-frequency traders will have to give up.
**AI Agents**: Real-time conversations and dynamic decision-making require instant feedback. Waiting for blockchain confirmations for AI? That's simply not feasible. User experience would be so poor that no one would use it.
Without resolving performance bottlenecks, Web3 applications will forever remain in the conceptual stage.
It's so slow that the experience is so bad that I don't even want to play with friends.
DeFi arbitrage is indeed difficult, missing by a second can lead to liquidation, who still dares to play.
If we can't get past this performance hurdle, Web3 will really be useless.
When will Layer2 be able to save this mess?
---
Layer 2 can't be faster than centralized solutions; this is the eternal problem of Web3.
---
The blockchain games are indeed amazing—click once and wait half a day. Who the hell has that much patience?
---
At the end of the day, it's still using yesterday's technology to solve today's problems, which simply doesn't match.
---
Those DeFi arbitrage folks have long since moved to CEXs. Stop fooling yourselves.
---
AI agents combined with blockchain is just a joke, haha.
---
Performance bottlenecks are essentially the cost of decentralization. Want to have your cake and eat it too?
---
I think there's still hope for DeFi arbitrage. Layer2 is iterating quickly, let's take it slow.
---
I really can't see how AI Agents can be useful. Waiting for block confirmations is just ridiculous.
---
Performance issues need to be solved, or it's all pointless. How long will Ethereum be congested?
---
It feels like these problems have been around for a long time. When will there be a real breakthrough?
---
The worst among blockchain games—players have already left. Only if it can offer the same experience as mobile games will it work.
