Sticking to low-market-cap potential coins, I choose the long-term.
It's not that I'm not interested in short-term gains, but I really did the math. Frequently flipping Solana ecosystem tokens and harvesting a few points of profit through swing trading may seem quick, but in reality, the returns from long-term holding are in a completely different league.
Many people fall into a strange cycle—always thinking about bottoming out and rebounding, chasing short-term trends. As a result, the combined costs of fees, slippage, and emotional tolls end up being worse than just holding onto a project with solid fundamentals. The market always realizes this, and those who hold on patiently will be the ones laughing last.
This is my choice—not chasing the hot trends, but waiting quietly for the market to reprice.

Fees and slippage really eat you alive. I used to trade frequently, but then I realized it's better to hold onto a reliable project.

Damn, the transaction fees are really like invisible scythe-cutting, I only stopped frequent trading after being awakened by it.

Damn, there's nothing wrong with what you said. I've been doubting life because of fees and slippage.
To put it simply, it's a mindset issue—always wanting to double quickly, but ending up slowing down instead.
Holding onto projects with solid fundamentals is truly the right way to make money in the long run.

here's the thing about low-caps though—everyone says they'll hodl until they don't lmao. the math checks out on paper but then volatility hits different and suddenly people are panic selling at -40%. genuinely curious how many of these "long term believers" actually survive their own conviction

Honestly, the fees make me want to vomit. I’ve been trading swings for a year and still haven't earned as much as just lying flat for a month.

actually if you read the tokenomics you'd see why this narrative always tanks... vesting schedules incoming in q2, classic setup
